253 AM CDT WED AUG 5 2015

AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE WILL MOVE INTO OUR REGION OVER THE NEXT
24 HOURS AND BRING THE ENTIRE REGION SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS.
PRECIPITATION WILL CONTINUE MOVING IN FROM THE WEST TODAY AND
CONTINUE INTO TONIGHT. THE UPPER LEVEL SYSTEM WILL BEGIN MOVING
EAST OF THE REGION THURSDAY MORNING AND SO WE SHOULD SEE THE RAIN
DECREASING FROM WEST TO EAST DURING THE AFTERNOON HOURS. HEAVY
RAINFALL IS A POSSIBILITY WITH THIS SYSTEM WITH RAINFALL TOTALS
BETWEEN ONE AND TWO INCHES FORECAST...WITH HIGHER AMOUNTS
POSSIBLE. THEREFORE...THERE IS A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FOR
THE ENTIRE REGION.

A CLUSTER OF STORMS IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP TO OUR NORTHWEST LATE
THURSDAY NIGHT...AND THIS ACTIVITY COULD IMPACT PARTS OF
SOUTHEAST MISSOURI BY FRIDAY MORNING. OTHERWISE...DRY CONDITIONS
SHOULD BE THE RULE FOR THE REMAINDER OF FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY. WE
COULD BE LOOKING AT MORE UNSETTLED WEATHER AS WE HEAD TOWARD THE
LATTER HALF OF THE WEEKEND AND INTO MONDAY. |
