.A LOCALIZED AREA OF SNOW WILL AFFECT MIDCOAST MAINE TODAY INTO
THIS EVENING AND WILL BE HEAVY AT TIMES...ESPECIALLY IN PENOBSCOT
BAY. IN ADDITION INCREASING NORTHWEST WINDS WILL CAUSE
CONSIDERABLE BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF SNOW THIS AFTERNOON AND
OVERNIGHT. SNOW IS EXPECTED TO TAPER TO SNOW SHOWERS LATER THIS
EVENING.

THE COLDEST AIR OF THE WINTER SEASON THUS FAR WILL SPILL INTO
NEW ENGLAND TODAY UPON STRONG NORTHWEST WINDS. THIS WILL RESULT
IN A PERIOD OF DANGEROUS WIND CHILLS ACROSS THE REGION SATURDAY
