...Safety Rules for Tornadoes..

If a tornado threatens, immediate action can save your life. Have
multiple ways to receive official warnings.

Avoid windows and outside walls.

Protect your head.

Go to a basement if one is available. If no basement is available,
go to the center of the lowest floor of the building you are in,
preferably in a windowless hallway or bathroom. Put as many walls
between you and the outside as possible.

Mobile homes and vehicles are not safe in a tornado or strong
thunderstorm winds. Leave the mobile home or vehicle for a sturdy
shelter well before storms arrive and if the shelter is close by.
If this is not possible and a severe storm is imminent, lie in a
ditch or low spot and cover your head or wear a helmet.
