Showers and thunderstorms rolled through portions of the panhandle
and southwest Nebraska overnight, resulting in loud thunderclaps
and up to one quarter inch of moisture. Lows were fairly mild
across the area, ranging from near 40 along the Pine Ridge to near
50 through the Sandhills.

Additional showers and storms are expected today, being mainly
isolated in coverage this morning, then growing more widespread
this evening into tonight. Some of the storms may be severe,
capable of large hail and damaging winds. A brief tornado is also
possible, mainly near and south of Interstate 80. Highs will be
limited to the 60s today due to thick cloud cover, while tonight
lows will be near 50 once again.
