A slow moving low pressure system that brought rain and some snow
to portions of the region last night into this morning, will exit
eastern portions of the region tonight. Lows tonight will range
from the 30s northeast to 40s southwest. A quick moving system
will spread showers across eastern Montana and into the western
Dakotas tonight into Tuesday morning, then across the eastern
Dakotas and into Minnesota by Tuesday evening. Highs on Tuesday
will range from the 40s to mid 50s north, to the 60s and lower
70s south. Windy conditions will develop from eastern Montana into
the western Dakotas Tuesday behind the rain showers. There is the
potential for critical fire weather conditions in the western
Dakotas and eastern Montana Tuesday as well. Rain showers linger
over northeast North Dakota and much of Minnesota Tuesday night,
while western and southern portions of the region dry out. Lows on
Tuesday night will be in the 30s over western and central
portions of the region, with some 40s remaining under the clouds
and rain showers in the east.

The latter half of the work week will bring seasonably cool
temperatures. Daytime highs will be mostly in the 50s and 60s,
with overnight lows in the 30s and 40s. Daily chances for showers
will remain in the forecast Wednesday through Friday.
