...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN SCOTT COUNTY THROUGH
1230 AM CDT...

At 1150 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms 10 miles west of Scott State Lake, moving northeast at
30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northwestern Scott
County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for west central
Kansas.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 600 AM CDT for
west central Kansas.
