The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill MO has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Linn County in east central Kansas...
  Bates County in west central Missouri...
  Henry County in west central Missouri...

* Until 930 AM CDT Sunday.

* At 1234 AM CDT, The Department of Transportation has reported that
  Highway B in southern Bates County is closed due to water over the
  roadway. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional
  rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned
  area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Transportation department reported.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Clinton, Butler, Adrian, Rich Hill, Pleasanton, La Cygne, Mound
  City, Calhoun, Deepwater, Montrose, Hume, Blue Mound, Prescott,
  Coal, Amsterdam, Amoret, Rockville, Foster, Brownington and
  Tightwad.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
