...TEST TORNADO DRILLS TODAY...

The State of Minnesota is conducting test tornado drills today at
1:45 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. The drills are jointly provided by the
Minnesota Department of Homeland Security and Emergency
Management,
the National Weather Service, and numerous counties, cities, and
tribal nations. Remember that these drills are a test.

When the drills occur at 1:45 p.m. and 6:45 p.m., you may be
alerted
by local systems such as reverse 9-1-1 (if you have signed up),
outdoor warning sirens, NOAA weather radio, TV, or others. Take
the
time now to decide where you want to take shelter. Remember to
plan
for the various places you may be if a real warning occurs. Also
make sure you have at least two ways to receive a warning.
Outdoor
Warning Sirens are not enough and may not always activate or be
heard. Get a NOAA Weather Radio. If available, sign up for
warning
notices through your local county or city.

The drills today are part of Severe Weather Awareness Week in
Minnesota. Remember they are just a test, to remind you of what
you
should do if there was a real warning. For more information,
