...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 345 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of Freestone and Limestone Counties.

* WHEN...Until 345 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is ongoing or imminent. It will take
  several hours for all the water from these storms to work through
  drainage systems.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Doppler radar indicated between 4 and 6 inches of rain have
    fallen. A break in the heavy rain the past few hours has
    likely helped flood waters recede, however, additional heavy
    rain is expected to move over the area later tonight. Please
    continue to heed remaining road closures.

  - Additional Flash Flood Warnings will likely be needed for
    this area later tonight!

  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Mexia, Groesbeck, Teague, Fairfield, Wortham, Lake Limestone,
    Fort Parker State Park, Lake Mexia, Tehuacana, Kirvin,
    Fallon, Cotton Gin, Freestone, Shiloh, Farrar, Donie, Box
    Church, Dew and Lanely.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
