...Rain showers with stong winds will impact portions of east
central Phillips, Wibaux, eastern Garfield, southern Daniels,
Roosevelt, Valley, Sheridan, McCone, Prairie, Richland and Dawson
Counties through 515 PM MDT
...

At 417 PM MDT, a strong thunderstorm was reported 9 miles north of
Whitewater, moving northeast at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.

SOURCE...Multiple area weather observation stations.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Sidney, Glendive, Glasgow, Wolf Point, Malta, Plentywood, Scobey,
Poplar, Culbertson, Circle, Terry, Wibaux, Fallon, Fairview, Nashua,
Brockton, Fort Peck, Medicine Lake, Bainville, and Saco.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

If on or near Fort Peck Lake and other area bodies of water, get out
of the water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember,
lightning can strike out to 10 miles from the parent thunderstorm.
If you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by
lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be caught on the water
in a thunderstorm.
