The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has extended
the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southern Habersham County in northeastern Georgia...
  Stephens County in northeastern Georgia...

* Until 1130 AM EDT.

* At 957 AM EDT, Doppler radar was showing that the threat of
  additional heavy rain had ended, but after a 3.5 to 4 inch
  rainfall this morning, locally excessive runoff is likely to
  linger in the warned area through late morning.  Please remain
  aware of the probability of encountering flooded roads this
  morning!

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Toccoa, Cornelia, Baldwin, Demorest, Mount Airy, Lake Hartwell,
  Boydville, Hollywood, Turnerville and Eastanolee.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
