...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 845 PM EDT
FOR CENTRAL DAVIE AND CENTRAL ROWAN COUNTIES...

At 826 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 6 miles northwest of
Salisbury, or 4 miles south of Cooleemee, moving northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.

Locations impacted include...
Salisbury, Mocksville, Spencer, Bermuda Run, Cooleemee, Fork Church,
Advance, Piedmont Research Station, Farmington, and Woodleaf.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for the Piedmont
of North Carolina.

A few trees and power lines will be blown down in the warned area.
The storm will be accompanied by brief heavy rainfall, and little or
no lightning. Seek shelter inside an interior room.
