FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL/EASTERN AND SOUTHEASTERN IL
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LINCOLN IL
232 PM CDT WED OCT 22 2014

.DISCUSSION...

HIGH PRESSURE WILL HOLD ON THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS FOR CENTRAL
AND SOUTHEASTERN ILLINOIS...MAINTAINING DRY CONDITIONS AND LIGHT
WINDS. A WEAKENING FRONTAL SYSTEM IS EXPECTED TO PUSH INTO THE
AREA TOMORROW...AND WILL BE ACCOMPANIED BY SCATTERED SHOWERS.
HOWEVER...WIDESPREAD AND/OR HEAVY RAINFALL IS NOT EXPECTED WITH
THIS SYSTEM. SMOKE DISPERSION IS EXPECTED TO BE POOR OVERALL THE
NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS DUE TO LOW MIXING HEIGHTS AND GENERALLY LIGHT
WINDS.

DRY WEATHER SHOULD RETURN FOR FRIDAY. THE NEXT CHANCE FOR
ORGANIZED RAINFALL WILL HOLD OFF UNTIL MONDAY NIGHT OR TUESDAY OF
NEXT WEEK.
