.DISCUSSION...

STRONG LOW PRESSURE NEAR TULSA IN NORTHEAST OKLAHOME...WILL TRACK
NORTHEAST ACROSS CENTRAL ILLINOIS LATER THIS EVENING AND SWING A
STRONG COLD FRONT EAST ACROSS CENTRAL AND EASTERN ILLINOIS OVERNIGHT
INTO EARLY MONDAY MORNING. PERIODS OF SHOWERS WILL OCCUR INTO TONIGHT
WITH AN ISOLATED THUNDERSTORM FROM I-55 EAST INTO MID EVENING. COLDER
TEMPERATURES WILL CHANGE THE RAIN TO LIGHT SNOW BY MONDAY MORNING WITH
1 TO 2 INCH OF SNOW POSSIBLE MONDAY NORTHWEST OF THE ILLINOIS RIVER.

SOUTHEAST WINDS 10 TO 15 MPH AND GUSTS OF 15 TO 25 MPH THIS AFTERNOON
WILL WEAKEN FOR A TIME THIS EVENING...THEN TURN WEST TO SOUTHWEST BEHIND
THE COLD FRONT AND INCREASE TO 15 TO 30 MPH LATE TONIGHT INTO MONDAY AND
GUST AS HIGH AS 30 TO 45 MPH AT TIMES ON MONDAY. LOW MIXING HEIGHTS WILL
PRODUCE POOR SMOKE DISPERSION TODAY DESPITE THE GUSTY WINDS. MIXING HEIGHTS
WILL RISE CONSIDERABLY BEHIND THE COLD FRONT AND PRODUCE MUCH BETTER SMOKE
DISPERSION FOR MONDAY.
