...EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM CDT SATURDAY...

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central
Illinois and west central Illinois.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...

It will be hot and humid today, with the afternoon heat index
ranging from 102 to 107 degrees.

Isolated thunderstorms will be possible late tonight. There is the
potential that a few storms may be strong with locally damaging
wind gusts and hail.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...

Hot and humid conditions will prevail through Saturday. Afternoon
heat index values will peak from 105 to 110 degrees each day.

Occasional thunderstorms will be possible through the upcoming
weekend. There is a risk of a few severe thunderstorms Friday into
Saturday. However, it is still too early to determine the
likelihood and timing of any potential severe weather or heavy
rainfall this weekend.
