...EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM CDT SATURDAY...

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central
Illinois and west central Illinois.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT...

The heat index will remain around 100 degrees through 8 pm this
evening.

Isolated thunderstorms will be possible late tonight. There is the
potential that a few storms may be strong with locally damaging
wind gusts and hail.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...

Hot and humid conditions will prevail through Saturday. Afternoon
heat index values will peak from 104 to 111 degrees each day.

Scattered thunderstorms are possible Friday night and again
Saturday into Saturday night. There is the potential for strong
storms Friday night, with severe storms possible Saturday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Limited spotter activation may be needed late tonight.
