...SPRINGFIELD NOAA WEATHER RADIO OUTAGE SCHEDULED FOR WEDNESDAY
AND THURSDAY...

NOAA Weather Radio station WXJ-75 in Springfield, which operates
on a frequency of 162.400 MHz, will be off the air much of
Wednesday and Thursday. The emergency generator at the transmitter
site will be replaced, which requires the power to be turned off
during the process.

Some surrounding transmitters that serve part of the WXJ-75
listening area include:

* KZZ-65 in Bloomington (162.525 MHz)
* WXJ-76 in Champaign (162.550 MHz)
* KXI-79 in Hillsboro (162.425 MHz)
* WXM-90 in Jacksonville (162.525 MHz)
* WXJ-92 in Macomb (162.500 MHz)
* WXJ-71 in Peoria (162.475 MHz)
* KXI-46 in Shelbyville (162.500 MHz)
