...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHERN EDGAR...NORTHEASTERN
PIATT...VERMILION...SOUTHEASTERN MCLEAN...CHAMPAIGN AND NORTHERN
DOUGLAS COUNTIES THROUGH 130 PM CDT...

At 1250 PM CDT, emergency management reported a cluster of strong
thunderstorms near Ogden, or 12 miles southeast of Rantoul, moving
northeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Emergency management.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Champaign, Urbana, Danville, Rantoul, Hoopeston, Tuscola, Savoy,
Mahomet, St. Joseph, Georgetown, Tolono, Westville, Tilton, Villa
Grove, Catlin, Fisher, Oakwood, Philo, Chrisman, and Rossville.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 57 between mile markers 213 and 257.
 Interstate 72 between mile markers 174 and 182.
 Interstate 74 between mile markers 169 and 220.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
