6 PM CST SUNDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LINCOLN HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS
EVENING TO 6 PM CST SUNDAY.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL BEGIN TO SPREAD INTO CENTRAL ILLINOIS THIS
  AFTERNOON. HOWEVER...THE HEAVIEST SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ARE
  EXPECTED TONIGHT INTO EARLY SUNDAY AFTERNOON.

* ACCUMULATIONS...4 TO 6 INCHES ARE LIKELY OVER MUCH OF THE
  AREA...WITH THE HEAVIER TOTALS IN A CORRIDOR FROM NEAR
  JACKSONVILLE EAST THROUGH DECATUR TO NEAR DANVILLE AND PARIS.
  SOME LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS WILL BE POSSIBLE. FURTHER
  NORTH...AMOUNTS OF 3 TO 5 INCHES ARE EXPECTED AROUND
  BLOOMINGTON...PEORIA...AND HAVANA.

* WIND...SPEEDS ARE EXPECTED TO RANGE FROM 5 TO 10 MPH THROUGH THE
  PERIOD...THUS BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW ARE NOT EXPECTED TO BE A
  PROBLEM.

* IMPACTS...ROADS WILL QUICKLY BECOME SNOW COVERED AND SLIPPERY
  LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND ESPECIALLY THIS EVENING. VISIBILITY WILL
  BE REDUCED TO LESS THAN A MILE IN THE HEAVIER SNOW TONIGHT AND
  SUNDAY.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW WILL
CAUSE PRIMARILY TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW COVERED
ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING.

FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 6 PM CST SUNDAY.

* TIMING...LIGHT SNOW WILL BEGIN SPREADING INTO SOUTHEAST ILLINOIS
  LATE THIS AFTERNOON...BUT THE MAIN PERIOD OF SNOW WILL BE FROM
  THIS EVENING INTO SUNDAY MORNING. THERE MAY BE SOME FREEZING
  RAIN FOR A PERIOD SUNDAY MORNING...BEFORE TEMPERATURES WARM
  ENOUGH FOR A MIXTURE OF RAIN AND SNOW TO PREVAIL.

* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 3 TO 5 INCHES ARE
  LIKELY...WITH SOME LOCALLY HIGHER TOTALS. SOME MINOR ICE
  ACCUMULATION IS ALSO POSSIBLE...BUT THE ICE WILL MELT BY LATE
  SUNDAY MORNING.

* WIND...SPEEDS ARE EXPECTED TO RANGE FROM 5 TO 10 MPH THROUGH THE
  PERIOD...THUS BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW ARE NOT EXPECTED TO BE A
  PROBLEM.
