...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO
9 AM CST THURSDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LINCOLN HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM THIS
AFTERNOON TO 9 AM CST THURSDAY.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL DEVELOP IN THE AFTERNOON WEST OF THE ILLINOIS
  RIVER...SPREADING SOUTHEASTWARD AND BECOMING HEAVIER THROUGH THE
  EVENING. LIGHT SNOWFALL WILL CONTINUE OVERNIGHT AS THE STORM
  SYSTEM GRADUALLY MOVES SOUTHEASTWARD AND WEAKENS.

* ACCUMULATIONS...3 TO 5 INCHES WEST OF THE ILLINOIS RIVER AND 2
  TO 4 INCHES IN AREAS IMMEDIATELY EAST OF THE ILLINOIS RIVER

* WIND...BREEZY NORTH TO NORTHEAST WINDS OF 10 TO 15 MPH WILL
  ACCOMPANY THIS STORM...CAUSING SOME BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF
  SNOW.

* IMPACTS...UNTREATED ROADWAYS AND WALKWAYS WILL BECOME
  SLICK...ICY...AND SNOW COVERED. LIMITED VISIBILITIES WILL CAUSE
  HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS AT TIMES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW WILL
CAUSE PRIMARILY TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW COVERED
ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING.
