THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LINCOLN HAS CANCELLED THE WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY.

LIGHT RAIN WILL BECOME MIXED WITH...AND THEN GRADUALLY CHANGE
OVER TO LIGHT SNOW THIS AFTERNOON. HOWEVER...THE STORM TRACK HAS
SHIFTED FURTHER EAST...TAKING THE THREAT FOR A MORE SIGNIFICANT
SNOW ACCUMULATION TO OUR EAST.

9 PM CST THIS EVENING...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LINCOLN HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM THIS
MORNING TO 9 PM CST THIS EVENING.

* TIMING...RAIN WILL CONTINUE THROUGH MOST OF THE MORNING BEFORE
  CHANGING OVER TO SNOW BETWEEN 10 AM AND NOON. THE SNOW WILL BE
  DIMINISHING DURING THE EVENING.

* ACCUMULATIONS...MUCH OF THE ADVISORY AREA WILL SEE SNOWFALL OF 1
  TO 3 INCHES...WITH THE HIGHER TOTALS NEAR DANVILLE AND RANTOUL.

* WIND...NORTHWEST WINDS OF 10 TO 15 MPH WILL GUST TO NEAR 25
  MPH AT TIMES. HOWEVER...AS THIS WILL BE A FAIRLY WET SNOW...NO
  SIGNIFICANT BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW IS EXPECTED.

* IMPACTS...TRAFFIC WILL BE HEAVIER THAN USUAL DUE TO THE
  CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY RUSH. HOLIDAY TRAVELERS CAN EXPECT SLIPPERY
  TRAVEL CONDITIONS...ESPECIALLY DURING THE AFTERNOON INTO EARLY
  THIS EVENING. VISIBILITY WILL ALSO BE REDUCED AT TIMES DURING
  SOME OF THE HEAVIER SNOW BURSTS.
