...Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity and
increased in duration for the following rivers in Mississippi...

  Pearl River Near Monticello affecting Lawrence County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY MORNING UNTIL FURTHER
NOTICE...

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Pearl River near Monticello.

* WHEN...From Thursday morning until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 25.0 feet, Water begins to flood lower portions of
  Cooper`s Ferry Park in Monticello.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:15 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 9.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    Thursday morning and continue rising to a crest of 25.0 feet
    Thursday evening.
  - Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
