Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi

.DISCUSSION...
Patchy dense fog is ongoing in southeast fire districts this
morning & possible again in southeast fire districts Friday
morning. A weak cold front will sag southward before becoming
stationary. Rain & storm chances will increase again over central
to northern portions of the area today. This front will remain
focus for rain & storm chances Saturday & highest rain chances
Sunday. Rain totals will be generally light, up to half inch
through Friday, with highest rain totals Saturday & especially
into Sunday, around half to three quarters of an inch southeast of
the Natchez Trace corridor to inch to an inch and three quarters
to the northwest. A final push of drier air will move in late
Sunday afternoon to evening. Cooler & drier conditions move into
the region late weekend into early next week before moderating by
middle of the week.
