The National Weather Service in Jacksonville has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Pierce County in southeastern Georgia...
  North central Ware County in southeastern Georgia...
  Southern Bacon County in southeastern Georgia...
  Southwestern Wayne County in southeastern Georgia...
  Southeastern Appling County in southeastern Georgia...

* Until 345 PM EDT.

* At 318 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from near Surrency to 7 miles west of Bristol to 7 miles
  south of Nicholls, moving east at 45 mph.

  HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
           tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
           roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include...
  Alma, Blackshear, Patterson, Screven, Offerman, Jamestown, Bristol,
  New Lacy, and Bickley.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for southeastern
Georgia.
