SATURDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...West Fork of The Calcasieu River at Sam Houston Jones SP.

* WHEN...From Wednesday morning to early Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 5.0 feet, Low spots on South Perkins Ferry Road have
  water on it. Water is over some boat docks on South Perkins Ferry
  Road and over boat ramps at Sam Houston Jones State Park.
  Extensive marshland flooding will occur upstream and downstream
  from the park.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:29 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 3.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    tomorrow morning to a crest of 5.5 feet Thursday morning. It
    will then fall below flood stage early Friday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 5.0 feet.

  near the river. Low spots on Old Sour Lake Road are under water.

  - At 8:45 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 23.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    tomorrow morning to a crest of 25.3 feet tomorrow evening. It
    will then fall below flood stage late Thursday evening.

  Market Road 418. Water threatens homes near the creek in Kountze.
  Significant flooding occurs in Village Creek State Park.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:30 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 19.2 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:30 AM CDT Tuesday was 19.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 22.2
    feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood
    stage Friday evening.

  ramps at Evadale possibly becoming inaccessible. Flooding can be
  expected in the low-lying areas of the Lakeview community in
  Orange County.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 17.4 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 9:00 AM CDT Tuesday was 17.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will rise to 17.9 feet just after
    midnight tonight. It will then fall early Thursday morning.
    It will rise to 17.9 feet early Thursday afternoon. It will
    then fall early Friday afternoon. It will rise to 17.9 feet
    Friday evening. It will then fall again but remain above
    flood stage.

  become flooded as well, especially in the Barlow Lake community.

  - At 9:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 71.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 9:00 AM CDT Tuesday was 71.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to 72.5 feet early
    tomorrow afternoon. Additional rises are possible thereafter.
  - Flood stage is 68.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Some roads upstream from Glenmora,
  including Strothers Crossing Road near the community of Calcasieu
  and Price Crossing Road near Hineston have two to three feet of
  water over the road and are subject to being closed. Flooding of
  forested areas near the river will also occur.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:45 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 13.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:45 AM CDT Tuesday was 13.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 14.0
    feet tomorrow evening.

  lowest homes between Deweyville and the river begin to flood,
  especially in the Indian Lakes and River Oaks sections. Low-lying
  roads and a few homes in Southwestern Beauregard Parish have some
  flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:45 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 25.3 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:45 AM CDT Tuesday was 25.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 26.0
    feet Thursday morning.
