  Nearshore Waters from Calumet Harbor to Michigan City...
  Open Waters from Winthrop Harbor to Michigan City out to Mid
Lake...

* Until 1115 PM CDT.

* At 948 PM CDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from 6 nm west of Midway Airport to 22 nm southeast of
  Joliet, moving northeast at 30 knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
           suddenly higher waves.

* Strong thunderstorms will be near...
  Montrose Harbor, Monroe Harbor, 31st Street Harbor, Burnham
  Harbor, DuSable Harbor, Belmont Harbor, and Diversy Harbor around
  1010 PM CDT.
  Harrison-Dever Crib, 59th Street Marina, and Jackson Park Harbor
  around 1015 PM CDT.
  Calumet Harbor and Hammond Marina around 1020 PM CDT.
  Indiana Harbor around 1025 PM CDT.
  Marina Shores at Dune Harbor around 1055 PM CDT.
  Burns Harbor around 1100 PM CDT.

Additional scattered strong thunderstorms are developing ahead of
this line and will also impact southern Lake Michigan and could also
produce wind gusts over 34 knots.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
