...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1045 PM CDT THIS
EVENING FOR EAST CENTRAL BRISCOE AND NORTHWESTERN HALL COUNTIES...

At 1022 PM CDT, trained weather spotters reported thunderstorms
producing heavy rain  north of Turkey along highway 70. Up to 7.5
inches of rain have fallen. Flooding impacts will continue, but no
additional rainfall is expected. Flash flooding is already occurring
and will likely continue to be a threat overnight, although mostly
in rural areas.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Trained spotters reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, and streets as well as other poor drainage and
         low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Lakeview.

This includes the following streams and drainages...
  Prairie Dog Town Fork Red River.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
