A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas...
  Chesapeake Bay from Pooles Island to Sandy Point MD...
  Chesapeake Bay from Sandy Point to North Beach MD...
  Chester River to Queenstown MD...
  Eastern Bay...

At 1049 PM EDT, recent buoy data showed an abrupt to shift to
northerly winds, accompanied by gusts up to 20 to 25 knots. This
gust front was located along a line extending from 24 nm north of
Key Bridge to 15 nm northwest of Fort Smallwood Park to near Hart
Miller Island, moving southeast at 20 knots.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 20 to 25 knots, an abrupt
wind shift to northerly, locally higher waves, and lightning
strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these
storms pass.
