* Until 300 PM EDT.

* At 230 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near The Center Of
  Croatan Sound, moving east at 10 knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
           suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  The Center Of Croatan Sound, The Center Of Roanoke Sound, Pea
  Island National Wildlife Refuge, Oregon Inlet, and Kill Devil
  Hills.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
