This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Limited hail risk.
  Limited thunderstorm wind damage risk.
  Elevated lightning risk.
  Limited excessive rainfall risk
  Limited non thunderstorm wind risk.

DISCUSSION...

A brief dry period is expected before remnant thunderstorms move
into our area late tonight (generally after 9 PM). These will most
likely impact areas NW of I-44 and have the possiblity of
producing an isolated instance of 60 mph wind gusts, quarter- size
hail, and/or excessive rainfall and flooding. The flooding risk
will be highest in areas near Nevada where rivers are already
various stages of flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Multiple storm chances continue Wednesday through Monday. Some
days may exhibit a severe threat, but exact details are uncertain
at this time. Our western counties are within a Marginal (1/5)
risk for severe weather Wednesday and Thursday.

Each round of rain will bring the chance of additional flooding,
especially if falling over already rain-stressed areas like
around
Nevada. The WPC has us in a Slight (2/4) risk for excessive
rainfall Thursday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters will not be needed for activation through tonight.
