CUSTER COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE IS TRANSMITTED AT THE REQUEST OF THE CUSTER
COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT.

THE LEGION LAKE WILDFIRE CONTINUES TO ACTIVELY BURN IN CUSTER
STATE PARK AND IN AREAS JUST SOUTH AND EAST OF THE PARK.

AS OF 3 PM MST, EVACUATION ORDERS ARE LIFTED FOR ALL AREAS EAST OF
HIGHWAY 79 IN CUSTER COUNTY, INCLUDING FAIRBURN AND BUFFALO GAP.

ADDITIONALLY, EVACUATION ORDERS ARE LIFTED FOR MOST AREAS WEST OF
HIGHWAY 79, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE TATANKA SPIRIT SUBDIVISION
JUST NORTHWEST OF BUFFALO GAP.

EVACUATION ORDERS REMAIN IN PLACE FOR CUSTER STATE PARK AND THE
AFOREMENTIONED TATANKA SPIRIT SUBDIVISION UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

FOR THOSE STILL REQUIRED TO EVACUATE, AN EVACUATION SHELTER HAS
BEEN ESTABLISHED AT THE HERMOSA SCHOOL AT ELEVEN 4TH STREET. USE
THE FOLLOWING ROUTES: HIGHWAY 79 NORTH TO HERMOSA.

ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS.
