...STRONG RIP CURRENTS AND ELEVATED SURF THROUGH THIS EVENING...

.A 2 FOOT SOUTHWEST SWELL WITH A 15 SECOND PERIOD WILL GENERATE
ELEVATED SURF AND STRONG RIP CURRENTS ALONG SAN DIEGO AND ORANGE
COUNTY BEACHES THROUGH THIS EVENING. THE HIGHEST SURF AND
STRONGEST RIP CURRENTS WILL BE ALONG EXPOSED SOUTHWEST FACING
BEACHES OF ORANGE COUNTY AND NORTH OF ENCINITAS IN SAN DIEGO
COUNTY. SWELL AND SURF WILL BEGIN TO LOWER ON MONDAY.

EVENING...

* WAVES AND SURF...FOR ORANGE COUNTY AND SAN DIEGO BEACHES NORTH
  OF ENCINITAS...2 TO 4 FEET WITH SETS TO 5 FEET. HIGHEST SURF
  ON SOUTHWEST-FACING BEACHES. SURF DECREASING GRADUALLY ON
  MONDAY.

* TIMING...THROUGH THIS EVENING.

* IMPACTS...ELEVATED SURF AND STRONG RIP CURRENTS WILL RESULT IN
  DANGEROUS SWIMMING CONDITIONS... ESPECIALLY FOR INEXPERIENCED
  SWIMMERS.

* OUTLOOK...REINFORCING 2 FOOT MODERATE PERIOD SOUTHWEST SWELLS
  WILL CONTINUE INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK...LIKELY CONTINUING THE RIP
  CURRENT THREAT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A BEACH HAZARDS STATEMENT IS ISSUED WHEN THREATS SUCH AS STRONG
RIP CURRENTS...ELEVATED SURF HEIGHTS...MINOR TIDAL OVERFLOW...OR
LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE AT LOCAL BEACHES. OBEY POSTED WARNING
SIGNS AND FLAGS AND TALK TO A LIFEGUARD BEFORE SWIMMING. USE
CAUTION WHEN IN OR NEAR THE WATER AND ALWAYS SWIM NEAR A
LIFEGUARD.
