PRECIPITATION WAS WELL ABOVE NORMAL...AND RANKED AS THE WETTEST JULY
SINCE 2005.

TWO DAILY MAXIMUM RAINFALL RECORDS WERE SET LAST MONTH:
DAILY RAINFALL OF 1.54 INCHES ON THE 6TH BROKE THE RECORD OF 1.34
SET IN 1931.
DAILY RAINFALL OF 2.58 INCHES ON THE 28TH BROKE THE RECORD OF 2.28
SET IN 1871.

CLIMATE RECORDS FOR THE BALTIMORE MD AREA HAVE BEEN KEPT AT
BALTIMORE-WASHINGTON INTERNATIONAL THURGOOD MARSHALL AIRPORT SINCE
1950. ADDITIONAL TEMPERATURE RECORDS OBSERVED DOWNTOWN EXTEND BACK
TO JULY OF 1872. PRECIPITATION RECORDS EXTEND BACK TO JANUARY OF
1871. SNOWFALL RECORDS BEGAN IN MARCH OF 1892.
