JUNE BEGAN WITH A WEEK OF COOL, WET WEATHER. RAIN FELL ON 6 OF THE
FIRST 7 DAYS OF THE MONTH, INCLUDING NEARLY 2 INCHES OF RAIN ON THE
6TH. BUT SOON A WARM, HUMID AIR MASS WOULD MOVE INTO THE AREA,
BRINGING WITH IT A TASTE OF SUMMER. FROM JUNE 8 THRU 25, CONCORD SAW
THE TEMPERATURE TOP 80 DEGREES 14 OUT OF 18 DAYS, INCLUDING 3
CONSECUTIVE DAYS WELL ABOVE 90 DEGREES FROM THE 11TH THRU 13TH. THE
WARM, HUMID AIR FINALLY MOVED AWAY ON JUNE 26 WITH THE REST OF THE
MONTH SEEING COOL AND LESS HUMID CONDITIONS WITH OCCASIONAL SHOWERS.

THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH WAS 66.1 DEGREES WHICH WAS 1.2
DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. THE WARMEST JUNE ON RECORD WAS IN 1876 WHEN
THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE WAS 70.3 DEGREES. THE COLDEST WAS IN 1903
WHEN IT WAS ONLY 58.8 DEGREES.

A TOTAL OF 5.15 INCHES OF PRECIPITATION FELL WHICH WAS 1.46 INCHES
ABOVE NORMAL. THE HEAVIEST RAIN FELL ON THE 6TH WHEN 1.98 INCHES WAS
RECORDED. THE WETTEST JUNE ON RECORD WAS IN 1944 WHEN 10.10 INCHES
WAS RECORDED. THE DRIEST WAS IN 1913 WHEN ONLY 0.10 INCHES FELL.
