THIS JUNE OF 2016 OBSERVED RATHER UNEVENTFUL CONDITIONS IN
SHREVEPORT AND BOSSIER CITY WITH NO SEVERE WEATHER NOR FLOODING
REPORTED. UNLIKE THE NOTORIOUS JUNE OF 2015 ONE YEAR EARLIER THAT
PRODUCED FLOODING NOT SEEN ON THE RED RIVER IN 70 YEARS SINCE
1945...THIS JUNE OBSERVED RECEDING RED RIVER STAGES WELL BELOW FLOOD
STAGE DURING THE LAST WEEK OF JUNE.

SHREVEPORT OBSERVED NO WEATHER RECORDS DURING THIS JUNE WITH NEAR
NORMAL JUNE RAINFALL AND A SLIGHTLY WARMER THAN NORMAL JUNE MONTHLY
TEMPERATURE. IT APPEARS THE RASH OF SEVERE WEATHER AND FLOODING
THAT HAS PLAGUED THE ARKLATEX DURING THE PAST YEAR FROM MAY OF 2015
THROUGH EARLY MAY OF 2016 ENDED WITH THE DEMISE OF EL NINO DURING
THE PAST SEVERAL WEEKS.
