THIS WAS AN AVERAGE JULY FOR YAKUTAT. THE RAPIDLY CHANGING SUMMERTIME REGIME WAS
DOMINATED BY WEAK HIGH PRESSURE AND INCREASED MID AND LOWER LEVEL MOISTURE AMOUNTS,
RESULTING IN MORNING MARINE LAYERS AND MID-DAY AND EVENING SHOWERS. THIS RESULTED
IN 25 DAYS OF RAIN IN VARYING AMOUNTS. MID AND LATE MONTH BROUGHT OCCASIONAL RAPID
MOVING LOW PRESSURE SYSTEMS THAT GAVE US FOUR DAYS OF RAINFALL OF OVER AN INCH. ONE
PRECIPITATION RECORD WAS SET THIS MONTH AT 1.62 INCHES ON THE 13TH OF JULY. NO
TEMPERATURE RECORDS WERE SET.
