This hydrologic outlook is based on the forecast rainfall for the
next 24 hours and estimated runoff from earlier rainfall. Crests may
vary if actual rainfall or runoff is greater or less than
anticipated.

Latest stage: 13.0 feet at 5 AM Thursday
Forecast crest: 19.1 feet Sunday Aug 31
At 19.0 feet...Backwater from the Missouri River floods property
along the Nodaway river at Nodaway, Missouri.

Location: Missouri River at Atchison
Flood stage: 22.0 feet

Forecast crest: 22.1 feet Sunday Aug 31
At 22.0 feet...Low-lying areas on the Missouri side of the river
begin to flood.

Location: Platte River At Sharps Station
Flood stage: 26.0 feet
Latest stage: 6.0 feet at 5 AM Thursday
Forecast crest: 26.0 feet Saturday Aug 30
At 26.0 feet...Low-lying rural land along the river begins to flood.

Location: Platte River near Platte City

At 22.0 feet...Flooding occurs at Humphreys Access Area which is
located 5 miles downstream from Platte City. 300 acres of pasture are
also flooded.
