...STRONG RIVER FLOWS WILL CONTINUE FOR WESTERN COLORADO AND EASTERN
UTAH AS SNOWMELT INCREASES...

WARM TEMPERATURES WILL CONTINUE FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK INCREASING
SNOWMELT ACROSS THE REGION.  THIS SNOWMELT...ALONG WITH RECENT RAIN
AND SNOWFALL...HAS INCREASED FLOWS FOR MANY RIVERS AND STREAMS.
THIS TREND WILL CONTINUE FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE WEEK.  SOME RIVERS
WILL REACH BANKFULL THROUGH THE PERIOD.

SOME RIVERS OF CONCERN INCLUDE:

- ELK RIVER NEAR COUNTY ROAD 42 WILL REACH MINOR FLOOD STAGE
  WEDNESDAY EVENING INTO THURSDAY MORNING. A FLOOD WARNING HAS BEEN
  ISSUED.

- THE GREEN RIVER NEAR JENSEN IS FORECAST TO RISE NEAR BANKFULL
  STAGE BY THE WEEKEND.

- THE COLORADO RIVER NEAR DOTSERO...CAMEO AND ALSO NEAR GRAND
  JUNCTION WEST TO THE UT/CO STATE LINE WILL CONTINUE TO RISE WITH
  CERTAIN AREAS REACHING BANKFULL STAGE BY THE WEEKEND.

- THE EAGLE RIVER AT RED CLIFF IS FORECAST TO REACH BANKFULL STAGE
  TODAY AND AT GYPSUM ON THURSDAY. A FLOOD ADVISORY HAS BEEN
  ISSUED FOR THE EAGLE RIVER FROM RED CLIFF.

- THE ROARING FORK RIVER NEAR ASPEN WILL RISE THROUGH THE WEEKEND
  REACHING JUST BELOW BANKFULL STAGE.

- THE YAMPA RIVER NEAR CRAIG AND DEERLODGE PARK WILL RISE AND COME
  CLOSE TO REACHING BANKFULL STAGE FOR THE WEEKEND.

- THE GUNNISON RIVER NEAR GUNNISON TUNNEL IS EXPECTED TO RISE
  AN ADDITIONAL 2.5 FEET BY FRIDAY.

MANY RIVERS...STREAMS AND CREEKS WILL SEE THE HIGHEST FLOWS OF THE
SEASON TODAY AND BEYOND. IT IS ALSO VERY LIKELY THAT MANY SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS ESPECIALLY IN THE NORTH AND CENTRAL PART OF
WESTERN COLORADO WILL REMAIN OR REACH BANKFULL TODAY ONWARDS.

RIVERS WILL RUN FAST...STRONG AND COLD. EXPECT EXTRA DEBRIS TO BE
SWEPT DOWNSTREAM. RIVER RUNNERS SHOULD USE CAUTION.
