...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 115 AM CST FOR
CHEATHAM...DICKSON AND NORTHEASTERN HICKMAN COUNTIES...

AT 1116 PM CST...THE PUBLIC REPORTED HEAVY RAIN FROM THUNDERSTORMS
IN SOUTHERN DICKSON AND NORTHERN HICKMAN COUNTIES. 3 TO 4 INCHES OF
RAIN HAVE FALLEN IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. SOME FLASH FLOODING IS
OCCURRING IN DICKSON COUNTY...ESPECIALLY ON TN HWY 46 NORTH OF
INTERSTATE 40. 4 TO 6 INCHES OF WATER IS BEING SEEN ON HWY 46 NEAR
THE PINEY RIVER.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
DICKSON...ASHLAND CITY...WHITE BLUFF...KINGSTON SPRINGS...PEGRAM...
BURNS...CHARLOTTE...NUNNELLY...LYLES...PINEWOOD...BON AQUA AND
CHEATHAM DAM.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING.

TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS. MOST FLOOD
DEATHS OCCUR IN VEHICLES.
