THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MIDLAND HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR A DAM FAILURE IN...
  EXTREME SOUTH CENTRAL LOVING COUNTY IN WEST TEXAS...
  SOUTHWESTERN WARD COUNTY IN WEST TEXAS...
  EAST CENTRAL REEVES COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST TEXAS...

* UNTIL 445 PM CDT

* AT 115 PM CDT...THE 15 MILE DAM DAM FAILED CAUSING FLASH FLOODING
DOWNSTREAM ON THE PECOS RIVER.

* LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE PECOS

15 MILE DAM ON THE PECOS RIVER UPSTREAM FROM PECOS HAS GIVEN WAY
AND HIGH WATERS ARE NOW MOVING TOWARD PECOS. AREAS DOWNSTREAM FROM
THE DAM ALONG THE PECOS RIVER SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR FLOODING.
THE PECOS RIVER IS ALREADY ELEVATED IN THE PECOS AREA. THE DAM
BREAK MAY RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL RISE OF UP TO 3 FEET IN PECOS.
TAKE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS IMMEDIATELY.

PEOPLE BELOW THE DAM SHOULD TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION BY MONITORING LOCAL
RADIO OR TELEVISION AND FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS FOR ANY REQUIRED
EVACUATION AS OUTLINED BY LOCAL EMERGENCY OFFICIALS.

FLOOD WATERS ARE MOVING DOWN THE PECOS RIVER FROM THE 15 MILE
DAM TO PECOS. THE FLOOD CREST IS EXPECTED TO REACH PECOS IMMINENTLY.
