FLOOD STATEMENT

...The Flood Warning is cancelled for the following rivers in
Colorado...

  South Platte River near Kersey affecting Weld County.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Colorado...

  Cache La Poudre River near Greeley affecting Weld County.

.The Cache La Poudre and South Platte Rivers in northeast
Colorado continue to slowly recede. Although thunderstorms could
produce locally heavier rainfall this afternoon and Friday...rainfall
is not expected to impact river flows in Weld County or downstream
on the South Platte River in Colorado. High pressure building over
the region this weekend will bring drier conditions.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or has been reported.
Stream rises will be slow and flash flooding is not expected.
However, all interested parties should take necessary precautions
immediately.

The Flood Warning continues for
  the Cache La Poudre River near Greeley.
* until Sunday evening...or until the stream falls below flood stage.
* At  9:30 AM Thursday the stage was 8.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
  Sunday afternoon.
* Flood history...This crest compares to a previous crest of 8.1 feet
  on May 17 1980.

  the South Platte River near Kersey.
* At  9:30 AM Thursday the stage was 10.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Fell below flood stage at  8:15 AM Thursday.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to 9.8 feet by Friday
  morning.
* Impact...At 10.0 feet...Considerable lowland and meadow flooding
  occurs. Water is at the base of several bridges in the area.
* Flood history...This crest compares to a previous crest of 10.0 feet
  on Jun 14 1983.
