THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN EL PASO HAS ISSUED A

* ARROYO AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
  WEST CENTRAL HUDSPETH COUNTY IN WESTERN TEXAS...

* UNTIL 215 AM MDT

* AT 1108 PM MDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAIN DUE TO
  SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS STRETCHED FROM NEAR FORT HANCOCK
  SOUTHWESTWARD INTO THE WESTERN SLOPES OF THE QUITMAN
  MOUNTAINS. THIS WILL CAUSE ARROYO STREAM FLOODING IN THE
  ADVISORY AREA. JUST UNDER ONE INCH OF RAIN HAS ALREADY
  FALLEN AROUND ESPERANZA.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  FORT HANCOCK...
  FORT QUITMAN...
  MCNARY...
  AND ESPERANZA.

LOW WATER CROSSINGS ALONG PORTIONS OF FM-192 AND FM-34 ARE
LIKELY TO BECOME INUNDATED.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING.

REMAIN ALERT FOR FLOODING EVEN IN LOCATIONS NOT RECEIVING RAIN.
ARROYOS...STREAMS...AND RIVERS CAN BECOME RAGING KILLER CURRENTS IN A
MATTER OF MINUTES...EVEN FROM DISTANT RAINFALL.
