...A FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 645 AM EDT TUESDAY FOR
PERSON...SOUTHERN VANCE...NASH...EDGECOMBE...GRANVILLE...WILSON...
NORTHWESTERN DURHAM AND FRANKLIN COUNTIES...

At 1211 AM EDT, Doppler radar continued to indicate areas of
moderate to locally heavy rain moving east-to-west across the warned
area. Between tow and four inches of rain has fallen across the
warned area. An additional one to one and a half inches will likely
fall through 3 AM EDT. This will aggravate any minor flooding
currently in progress.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely. Move to higher ground.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
