...The National Weather Service in Houston/Galveston has issued a flood warning
for the following rivers...

  Trinity River Near Goodrich affecting the following counties in Texas...
  Liberty...Polk...San Jacinto
  Menard Creek Near Rye affecting the following counties in Texas...Liberty...
  Polk...San Jacinto


For Trinity River at Goodrich, Minor flooding is occurring and expected to
continue. For Menard Creek at Rye, Moderate flooding is forecast.

Very heavy rainfall across the area in the past 24 to 36 hours has led to
additional rises in area rivers and streams


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Persons are urged to stay away from the river until water levels recede.
Motorists should avoid any water covered roads and find an alternate route.
Livestock and equipment should remain out of the flood plain for the next few
days.

The National Weather Service in Houston/Galveston has issued a

* Flood Warning for
  The Trinity River near Goodrich.
* until late Wednesday night...or until the warning is canceled.
* At 0845 AM Tuesday the stage was 36.2 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and is expected to continue.
* Flood stage is 36.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river rose above flood stage earlier this morning with a
  continued rise to near 36.5 feet expected by this evening.
* At 36.0 feet...Minor lowland flooding begins as water spreads out over
  fields and threatens buildings in the immediate vicinity of the gage.

* Flood Warning for
  Menard Creek near Rye.
* from this evening to late Thursday night...or until the warning is canceled.
* At 0915 AM Tuesday the stage was 17.3 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Forecast...The creek is expected to rise above flood stage tonight with a
  continued rise to near 23.0 feet by Wednesday afternoon.
* At 23.0 feet...Moderate lowland flooding begins as low lying areas along the
  creek are inundated.
