...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 1030 AM CDT MONDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by Sunday evening`s excessive rainfall is
  expected.

* WHERE...A portion of Central Kansas, including the following
  counties, Barton, Ellsworth, Lincoln and Russell.

* WHEN...Until 1030 AM CDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of various creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is likely. Some roads and low-water
  crossings will likely remain flooded overnight.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1133 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated the threat for
    widespread heavy rainfall has ended over central Kansas.
    However, excessive runoff from very heavy rainfall Sunday
    evening will likely support continued flooding concerns in
    the warned area overnight.
  - Some locations that may experience flooding include...
    Russell, Ellsworth, Wilson, Kanopolis, Holyrood, Sylvan
    Grove, Geneseo, Dorrance, Lorraine, Milberger, Bunker Hill,
    Susank, Wilson State Park, Ellsworth Airport, Wilson Lake,
    Odin, Russell Airport, Kanopolis Lake and Kanopolis State
    Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two
feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don`t
drown.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
