...The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a Flood Warning
for the following rivers in California...

  Middle Fork Feather River Near Portola affecting Plumas County

For the Middle Fork Feather River...including Portola...Moderate
flooding is forecast.

A strong atmospheric river will push through the region late Sunday
night through early Tuesday bringing heavy rainfall to much of
northeast California. The current forecast for the Middle Fork of
Feather at Portola will be similar to levels reached January 9-10
of this year and not nearly as high as what was experienced last


Do not drive cars through flooded areas as rushing water
can easily sweep a car away...

The next forecast update for these locations will be issued at about
9 am Sunday.

The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a

* Flood Warning for
  The Middle Fork Feather River Near Portola.
* from Tuesday morning until further notice...Or until the warning is
* At  3:30 PM Saturday the stage was 6.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 8.5 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by Tuesday morning and continue
  to rise to near 10.3 feet by early Wednesday morning.
* Impact...At 10.0 feet...Moderate flooding of lowlands...structures
  and roads from Beckwourth to Sloat California...including Portola.
  Sleepy Pines Motel and other low structures along river in Portola
  flood.  River near foundation of Veterans Hall in  Portola. CA Hwy
  89 near Clio flooded.
