Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southern New England
National Weather Service Taunton MA
341 AM EDT Mon Aug 21 2017

.DISCUSSION...

High pressure moves over the region today and offshore for
Tuesday. This will bring dry weather today and most of Tuesday.
Northwest winds will gust at times near 20 knots. There is a
chance for scattered thunderstorms late Tuesday afternoon as a
cold front approaches the region.

The minimum relative humidity will be 40 to 55 percent today and
50 to 65 percent Tuesday.

OUTLOOK...Wednesday through Sunday...

A cold front will sweep across New England Wednesday. Showers and
scattered thunderstorms ahead of the front will affect Southern
New England Tuesday evening through Wednesday. A few thunderstorms
may produce strong winds and heavy downpours. High pressure then
brings drier and cooler weather for Thursday through Sunday.
