FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TAUNTON MA
438 PM EDT SAT MAY 28 2016

.DISCUSSION...
A BACKDOOR COLD FRONT WILL BECOME DRAPED ACROSS OUR REGION SUNDAY
BRINGING COOLER TEMPERATURES TO EASTERN MASSACHUSETTS BUT VERY
WARM CONDITIONS ACROSS THE INTERIOR. THERE WILL BE A CHANCE OF
HIT AND MISS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IN THE AFTERNOON OVER THE
INTERIOR.

ON MONDAY...SHOWERS ARE LIKELY EARLY AND THROUGHOUT THE DAY DUE TO
TROPICAL MOISTURE SPREADING NORTH NORTHEASTWARD FROM A TROPICAL
SYSTEM OVER THE CAROLINAS. THIS TROPICAL PLUME OF MOISTURE COULD
PRODUCE LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS OUR REGION ALONG WITH
EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS.

THE MINIMUM RELATIVE HUMIDITY WILL RANGE FROM 45 TO 65 PERCENT ON
SUNDAY...WITH THE LOWEST ACROSS THE INTERIOR...AND HIGHEST ACROSS
THE EAST COAST. THE MIN RH ON MONDAY WILL RANGE FROM 65 TO 80
PERCENT ALONG THE SOUTH COAST...CAPE COD AND ISLANDS...BUT 50 TO
65 PERCENT ELSEWHERE.

OUTLOOK TUESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY...

DRY CONDITIONS WITH WARM AFTERNOONS FOLLOW TUESDAY AND
WEDNESDAY...AND PERHAPS INTO THURSDAY. UNSETTLED WEATHER COULD
MAKE A RETURN FRIDAY AND SATURDAY.
