FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NORTHERN ALABAMA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HUNTSVILLE AL
248 PM CST SAT FEB 28 2015

.DISCUSSION...
AFTER WARM AND DRY CONDITIONS TODAY, RAIN IS POSSIBLE TONIGHT INTO
SUNDAY AS A WEAK UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE MOVES ACROSS THE REGION.
GREATER CHANCES OF RAIN EXIST ON SUNDAY NIGHT AS A COLD FRONT MOVES
SOUTH ACROSS THE REGION. MIXING HEIGHTS WILL BE LOW ON SUNDAY WHICH
COMBINED WITH LIGHT WINDS WILL YIELD POOR DISPERSION.

NOT MUCH IN THE WAY OF IMPROVEMENT ON MONDAY IS EXPECTED WITH ONLY
SLIGHTLY HIGHER MIXING HEIGHTS EXPECTED. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS
ARE THEN EXPECTED ON TUESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY AS A STRONG COLD FRONT
APPROACHES NORTHERN ALABAMA. TEMPERATURES WILL BE WARMER (IN THE 60S)
WITH HIGHER MIXING HEIGHTS AND DISPERSION VALUES.

THEN, COLDER WEATHER IS EXPECTED ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO THURSDAY
ALONG THE COLD FRONT, WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR WINTRY PRECIPITATION
DURING BOTH TIME PERIODS.
