Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi
National Weather Service Jackson MS
456 AM CST Sun Feb 26 2017

.DISCUSSION...Fire weather conditions will be certainly worth
monitoring today as RH`s could fall below 20% in some areas. Winds
will be moderate and from the south, maxing out at near 10-12kts.
Fuel moisture content will be below 10% for most of the region.
Conditions are expected to remain just below red flag criteria
mainly due to wind speeds. However, the eastward progressing
surface high will cause a tightening of pressure gradients over
the region today, and if winds overachieve, threats could be
updated. Moisture will begin to increase this evening as a
disturbance approaches the area from the west. Rain chances will
begin to increase overnight and will remain through the early
parts of the upcoming week.
