Fire Weather Planning Forecast For West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
402 AM CDT Thu Aug 17 2017

.DISCUSSION...
The eastern Permian Basin and Big Bend received wetting rains
yesterday with isolated areas getting in excess of 2 inches. Areas
farther west were left dry but minimum afternoon humidities should
not drop much below 30 percent the next few days so the fire danger
threat will be low. There will be low rain chances the next several
days but any lightning starts will have trouble propogating with high
moisture and low winds. Overnight recovery will be excellent.
